OUR COMMITMENT

We strive to make The Fire Society a great place to work, which is why our kitchen is built with bay views instead of tucked back in a warehouse, like so many other commercial kitchens! We know how crazy expensive the Bay Area is and so we always endeavor to provide the most competitive wages and best benefits that we can for our employees.

SAN FRANCISCO CITY OPTION

TFS participates in the San Francisco City Option program.  This means that we make payments on behalf of our eligible employees into a SF Medical Reimbursement Account (SF MRA).  Eligible employees can then use these funds  for eligible health care expenses incurred by the employee, their spouse or domestic partner, and their dependents. Some of the many health care expenses eligible for reimbursement are health insurance premiums, doctor’s office visits, dental services, vision services, and prescription and over-the-counter medicines.  For more information on the SF MRA, please click here.

COMMUTER BENEFITS

We are happy to offer a commuter benefit program which allows our employees who work 40 hours or more per month to set aside pre-tax funds to pay for qualified mass transit and/or parking expenses associated with their commute to work. Qualified mass transit expenses generally consist of bus, railway, or ferry transportation. Qualified parking expenses generally consist of parking meters, garages and lots near our place of work. To find out more information about this program, please contact the Business Operations Manager.
