For all events outside of the city of San Francisco, we offer a flat-rate travel stipend to our hourly employees who work at the event. Stipends are based on a pay zone that measures the distance between our company headquarters and the event location.

TRAVEL PAY
When events are 50 miles or more from our headquarters, The Fire Society provides optional carpools for employees who are working the event.

RESERVING A SEAT
Employees who would like a seat in a carpool must confirm their seat reservation the staffing manager prior to the day of the event.
DAY-OF INSTRUCTIONS
It is up to employees to arrive at the carpool on time. If an employee is running late, they must call the carpool driver and notify them.
You can find your driver's contract information in your Nowsta notes.
If any employee fails to arrive on time, they will have to find their own way to the event.
If an employee fails to make it to the carpool on time and does not find alternative transportation to the event, this will be considered an unexcused callout.

COMPANY-SPONSORED CARPOOLS
EMPLOYEE ORGANIZED CARPOOLS
Employee organized carpools are neither sponsored by nor coordinated by TFS. Therefore, TFS shall not be liable for any incidents, accidents, or injuries that may occur during employee organized carpools.
We currently use two different rental companies, Bandago and Coast Truck Rentals.
Both of these companies have different pick-up and drop-off procedures. We ask that TFS drivers review the following information and contract us if they have any additional questions.
